The ratio for mixing carrier oil and essential oil is 20:1 which means, if you have to use 20 drops of carrier oil with 1 drop of essential oil. 20 drops is equal to 1 ml.

Some of the carrier oils that can be used with essential oils are castor oil, coconut oil, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, etc.

Make sure to do a skin test beforehand, when trying out any new essential oil.

Tea tree oil

Tea tree essential oil is well-known for acne-prone skin. The antibacterial properties of tea tree oil helps to ward off pimples and acne-causing bacteria. You have to massage your skin with a mix of carrier oil and tea tree oil after cleansing your face.

Orange oil

Orange oil can be a right choice for people with combination skin. As it does not dry up or oils up your skin too much, you can use it for those who have both dry and oily skin. The antimicrobial and antiseptic properties of orange oil help in protecting the skin from acne and irritations. It has god astringent properties as well to reduce the excess sebum secretion and helps in firming and toning the skin.

Sandalwood oil

It makes your skin sensitive to sun rays. However be careful to use lemon oil while going out in sun, as it can attract UV rays faster and cause hyperpigmentation.
