Vicks VapoRub

This can be a cheap and readily available product for toenail fungus. Applying Vicks VapoRub daily on the infected areas for around 48 weeks can be an effective treatment. Even after the infection disappears, make sure to use it for several weeks ahead to clear off the entire infection.

Tea Tree Oil

The anti-fungal properties of organic tea tree oil can be helpful in initial stages. However, you need to look for natural non-diluted tea tree oil for effective results.

Prevention

Even after the mild infection has gone, there is high possibility for occurrence of toenail infections again. Here are few prevention measures that you can handle to prevent the infection from occurring again.

  • Clip your toenails rightly and Keep your feet clean and dry.
  • Use clean, absorbent socks to avoid any dampness that supports fungus/bacteria growth.
  • Do not share nail tools with others.
  • Use antifungal spray or powder to reduce infection chances.
  • Avoid wearing nailpolish or artificial products that trap the moisture in the nails.
