Aloe vera gel

How to use
  • Take ½ tsp of aloe vera gel in a bowl and then add one tablespoon of lemon juice into it. Now add this mixer into your shampoo. Wash your hair using this shampoo.
  • You can also apply fresh aloe vera gel on your hair and scalp after shampooing your hair. Leave this mixture to soak for about 10 minutes then wash your hair.
  • For better results, try this method once in a week.

Lemon juice

Lemon juice is a best home remedy for most of the scalp problems like dandruff and itchy scalp. It will also helps to keep your hair smelling good and fresh.

How to use
  • Take two lemons and squeeze it in a bowl. Now dilute it in a cup of water. After shampooing your hair, apply this mixture on your scalp and hair. Allow it to dry for a few minutes. Then rinse off your hair. Try this method once or twice in a week.
  • For fungal infection on scalp, take juice from one fresh lemon and then add a cup of plain yogurt into it. Now apply this mixture on your scalp and leave it for about 20 minutes. Then rinse it off using mild shampoo. Try this method once in a week.
  • Be aware of applying lemon juice on your hair it will lighten your hair over a period of time.

Tea tree oil

Tea tree oil helps to reduce dandruff and scalp acne. It has antimicrobial properties which help to cure the scalp infections and also stinky hair.

How to use
  • Take some tea tree oil in a bowl and dilute it with water. Now put this mixture on your scalp. Allow it to soak for about 30 minutes.Rinse off your hair using mild shampoo. Make sure to always dilute tea tree oil as essential oils need to be diluted.
  • Alternatively, you can also add few drops of tea tree oil in your shampoo. Apply this shampoo on your hair and wash it as normal.

Neem oil

Generally the antiseptic properties in neem oil help to treat scalp infections and also treat your smelly hair.

How to use
  • Take few drops of neem oil and apply it on your scalp. Massage your scalp for about 5 minutes in a circular motion. Allow it to soak overnight. Next day morning shampoo your hair as usual.
  • Like tea tree oil you can add neem oil into your shampoo to dilute them.
  • Instead of neem oil, you can boil a hand full of neem leaves in water. Allow it to cool down and then strain the water and use it to wash your hair.
  • For better result, try this once in a week.

Tomato juice

Tomato juice will give you non smelly hair for days. Moreover tomatoes are best natural cleanser and pH balancer. The acidity in tomatoes will balance the pH level in your hair.

How to use
  • Take a fresh tomato juice and apply it on your scalp.Allow it to soak for about 10 minutes and then rinse your hair using mild shampoo. For better result, try this once or twice in a week.
  • Like lemon juice, tomato juice also lightens your hair. So be careful not to go overdose.

Apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar acts as a natural hair clarifier. It helps to take off the buildup of products which can contribute to smelly and oily hair. It also helps to balance pH level of your hair.

How to use
  • Take a cup of water and add one half tablespoon of apple cider vinegar into it. Now rinse your hair using this solution. Leave it on your hair about a minute then wash your hair.
  • Take 2 cups of distilled water mix it with one half cup of apple cider vinegar and add three drops of an essential oil like lavender, rose oils. Now spray this solution all over your hair. Allow it to set for few minutes. Then rinse with cold water.

Cinnamon and honey

The antibacterial and antifungal properties in honey and cinnamon help to get rid of smelly hair problems.

How to use
  • Add one half teaspoon of cinnamon powder into boiling water. Allow it to boil for about half an hour. Now mix one teaspoon of honey into it. Allow this mixture to cool down. Apply this mixture on your scalp and hair. Allow it to dry for about an hour. Then wash your hair using mild shampoo.
  • For better result, try this mask once or twice in a week.
  • This mask also will lighten your hair over time.

Baking soda

Baking soda is one of the best natural remedy for smelly hair and also it helps to reduce the bad odors and oiliness of your hair.

How to use
  • Take one part of baking soda and mix it in three parts water. Always take baking soda and water in 1:3 ratio. Wet your hair using normal water and apply this paste on your damp hair. Allow it to soak for about five minutes and then rinse your hair as usual.
  • Try this mask once a week.
