Natural Potpourri
Potpourris are aromatic and relaxing for the environment. You can make both stovetop and dried potpourri at home. Here is how you can make natural potpourri.
Stovetop potpourri:
Take ½ cup water and add ½ cup of lemon or orange slices to it. Add few cinnamon sticks, cloves and cardamom pods to it. Or two. Boil the mixture and simmer it for some time. You can use this aromatic potpourri water for around a year to keep the air warm and relaxing.
Dried Potpourri :
You can create a mixture of Scented dried flowers and/or petals along with fragrant woods or plant roots. You can also add citrus fruit peels, dried aromatic herbs and spices. Frankincense can also bring aroma. Essential oils can be added few drops. The entire mixture can be transferred to an appropriate container like muslin cloth bags, jars, sachets, or baskets that will let the potpourri odor escape through.
