How to Get Rid of Blackheads Easily

Blackheads are one beauty concern similar to acne. These are small black or white colored acne lesion, arising on the nose or elsewhere on face. Though it is common, getting rid of it is not an easy one. There might be lot many cosmetic strips available for this problem but still relying on natural home remedies works the best.

Before getting into the remedies, do you know why do these blackheads occur? Our skin has lots of pores on its surface. When these pores get clogged with excess sebum from the sebaceous glands, and dead skin cells, these blackheads occur. The tiny lesions are actually oxidized melanin from skin cells. Open pores create lesions that turn black while closed ones remain white as they do not get oxidized. Keep in mind that blackheads do not occur due to dirt or impurities. The real culprit is solely our skin glands and its clogging of pores. Usually we keep on scrubbing and cleansing the skin to prevent blackheads but know that those ways does not help.

Preventing blackheads are possible to some extent by mitigating the effects of excessive sebum production.

  • Avoid cosmetics that block the skin.
  • Avoid heavy sweating.
  • Avoid being in highly humid conditions.
  • Exfoliate regularly to get rid of dead skin cells

Here we have few ways you can try to get rid of blackheads easily and effectively right from the home. All the ingredients mentioned in the post are readily available at home and any store.

You can use flour and honey as a combination to get rid of blackheads.

Flour – 1 tbsp

Honey – ½ tsp.

Warm water – 1 tsp

Mix all the ingredients together to form a paste. Mask this sticky mixture on your blackhead area. Rinse it off after 5-10 mins.

  1. Apply a generous amount of Vaseline on the blackheads area.
  2. Wrap it with a plastic paper.

  1. You can also use a part of cinnamon powder with equal part of raw honey to make a paste.
  2. Apply this on the affected area and cover it with cotton strips.
  3. Let it sit for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Remove and rinse it off.

Mix parts of baking soda with water to it to form a thick consistency. Use this mixture to cover the affected area and rub gently with a toothbrush. When done regularly at night, this will help in getting rid of blackheads soon.

Mix semolina (rava) with any usual soap to exfoliate the skin. This will help in preventing blackheads effectively
