Brown Sugar Scrubs for Hair and Scalp

Similar to face scrubs, your scalp will also need mild scrubbing. There are so many expensive hair scrubs available in the market. However, they are either too expensive or does not deliver any results. If you are concerned about trying a scalp scrub that is beneficial yet natural, then brown sugar scrubs are effective homemade remedies.  Not only does these scalp scrubs change your hair quality and texture, it also strengthens it from inside out.

Brown Sugar And Baking Soda Scrub

Ingredients

Brown sugar – 1 tsp

Baking soda – 1 tsp

Regular shampoo – 1 tbsp

Tea tree oil – 2 to 3 drops

Direction to use
  • Take all the above ingredients in a bowl and mix them well.
  • Now apply this paste on your scalp and hair.
  • Gently massage it for few minutes in a circular motion.
  • Concentrate on the scalp and the roots of your hair.
  • This helps to increase the blood circulation.
  • Wash your hair using warm water.

Brown Sugar And Oats Scrub

Ingredients

Brown sugar – 2 tsp

Oatmeal – 2 tsp

Hair conditioner – 2 tsp

Olive oil – 15 drops

Direction to use
  • Take some oatmeal and brown sugar in a bowl.
  • Now add your favorite hair conditioner into the mixture.
  • Mix it well and then add some drops of olive oil into it.
  • Apply this mixture on your hair and scalp.
  • Gently massage your hair and then wash your hair using normal water.

Brown Sugar And Jojoba oil Scrub

Ingredient

Brown sugar – 2 tsp

Jojoba oil – 2 tsp

Lemon juice – 2 tsp

Sea salt – 1 tsp

Direction to use
  • Take some brown sugar and sea salt in a bowl.
  • Now add some freshly squeezed lemon juice and some jojoba oil into it.
  • Mix them well until brown sugar completely dissolves.
  • Now apply this brown sugar scrub on your scalp and hair.
  • Gently massage your scalp and then wash it off using warm water.

Word for care

This scrub is not suitable for color treated hair.
