Toothache Home Remedies  Oral care has to be of high priority as it forms the initial gateway to your overall health. But often, improper oral care leads to tooth and gum problems. Problems in gum can lead to toothache. Though visiting dentist is the best option, taking some home remedies never hurt. Moreover, in times when you are unable to visit the dentist or at a place far away, having handy toothache home remedies can help a lot. Here are few home remedies for toothache that are done easily from kitchen ingredients.

Salt and pepper

Salt and pepper is the best combination to treat sensitive tooth, because it contains anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Take equal amount of common salt and pepper in a bowl and then add few drops of water to form a paste. Now directly apply it on to your affected tooth. Leave it for about 5 minutes. Then wash it off. Repeat this daily for several days.

Salt water

Salt water is one of the most easiest to get rid of toothache.

Take one cup of hot water and mix half a spoon of common salt into it. Mix well and rinse your mouth using this water thoroughly. It helps to reduce inflammation and swelling.

The salt helps to fight against the bacteria that cause infection.

Vanilla extract

Vanilla extract is an effective home remedy to treat toothache, because it helps numb the pain.

Take a cotton swab and dip it into vanilla extract. Now place this on the affected area. Repeat this process for few times until you get relief from toothache.

Guava leaves

The anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties in guava leaves help to treat toothache.

Take fresh guava leaves and simply chew them until the juice comes from it. Instead of guava leaves you can also try spinach leaves. Alternatively, you can try another remedy as well.

Guava leaves – 5

Water – 1 cup

Salt – 1 tsp

Take five fresh guava leaves and put them into boiling water and allow it to boil for few minutes. Then allow it to cool and add some common salt into it. Now use this water as mouthwash.

Cloves

Generally clove is one of the effective and well known remedy for tooth pain and infections. It has anti-bacterial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anesthetic properties help to reduces tooth infection and pain.

Take some clove oil and then dip a cotton ball into it. Now apply it directly on to your affected tooth.

Take few drops of clove oil and mix it into half glass of water and use this water as mouthwash.

Take two whole cloves and grind them well. Now add some vegetable oil or olive oil into it and mix them well. Apply this paste on the affected tooth.

Garlic

Garlic has more medicinal properties which help to reduce the toothache. It also gives immense relief from toothache.

Take one or two garlic cloves and chew them directly to get relief.

Take a garlic clove and crush them well. Now add some salt into it and apply this paste directly on the affected tooth.

Onion

Onion helps to kill germs that causing an infection on your teeth. The antiseptic and anti-microbial properties in onion help to control a toothache and also provide relief from toothache.

Take small piece of raw onion and chew them for a few minutes to get relief from the pain. Instead of chewing it, you can place a piece of raw onion on your affected tooth directly.

All of these toothache home remedies are effective and natural. It is easy to work with and benefits oral health a lot. Apart from that, you do not need to make your body suffer with medications. If you get healed right with these remedies, its fine. If not, visit your dentist immediately.
