Homemade Skin Polishing Scrubs
Skin Polishing has become a new trend. Everyone loves to have a flawless glowing skin with a polished look. Skin Polishing improves your skin complexion and rejuvenates your skin. Though most of the salons do skin polishing, know that you can also do it at home with simple ingredients. Here we have few skin polishing scrubs that would help in giving a polished flawless skin. It would be beneficial to do skin polish at least once per month.
Rice Flour Skin Polish
The granular texture of rice flour makes an excellent exfoliating scrub. This scrub would give a smoother skin texture by getting rid of flaky dead skin cells. Lemon juice helps in lightening the skin tone and removes skin blemishes as well.
Ingredients
Rice flour – 1tbsp
Besan flour – 1 tsp
Honey – 1 tsp
Lemon juice – 1tsp
Direction to use
- Take rice flour in a bowl.
- Add honey, besan flour and lemon juice into it, mix well to make a paste consistency.
- Apply this scrub all over your face and neck.
- Exfoliate your face for about 5 minutes.
- Then wash your face with cold water.
- If you have oily skin, you can try this scrub once in a week.
- For dry skin, try this scrub twice in a week.
Baking Soda Skin Polish
Baking Soda is one of the best skin care used ingredient at home. The coarse nature of it helps in exfoliating the skin like a sandpaper. It also helps in removing blackheads. Here is a simple recipe with baking soda for skin polishing scrub.
Ingredients
Baking soda – 2 tbsp
Face wash – 2 tbsp
Direction to use
- Take baking soda in a bowl and then mix your favourite face wash with it.
- Mix well to make a fine thick paste.
- Apply this scrub all over your damp face.
- Exfoliate your face in a circular motion for about 5 minutes.
- Then wash your face using cold water.
- Allow it to try, and then apply moisturizer.
- For better result try this scrub weekly once.
Orange Peel Skin Polish
Orange peels are always effective for skin care. With rich Vitamin C, the peels help in rejuvenating the skin cells and gently exfoliates them.
Ingredients
Orange peel powder – 2 tbsp
Milk – 2 tbsp
Direction to use
- Take orange peel powder in a bowl and add milk in it.
- Mix well to form a paste consistency.
- Apply this scrub all over your face and neck.
- Gently massage your face using this orange peel scrub for about 4 minutes.
- Then wash your face with cold water.
Flower Petals Skin Polish
A mix of oils, flowers, and sugar will give your skin an excellent scrubbing effect. By maintaining the natural oils of skin, the flower petals adds to its skin moisturizing.

Lavender flower – ¼ cup
Dried rose petals – ¼ cup
Lavender essential oil – ½ tsp
Olive oil – 2 tbsp
Honey – 1 tbsp
Sugar – 1 cup
Direction to use
- Take a bowl and then add all the above ingredients.
- Mix well to form a thick paste consistency.
- Apply this scrub all over your face and neck.
- Exfoliate your about 5 minutes.
- Wash your face with cold water.
Sea Salt Skin Polish
Sea salt can be used as an excellent scrub for skin polishing. The natural nutrients in sea salt helps in removing the skin dead cells. Also the use of olive oil nourishes the skin cells and provides a good balance to natural skin oils.
Ingredients
Sea salt – 3 tbsp
Lavender oil – ½ tsp
Olive oil – 2 tbsp
Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
Direction to use
- Add all the above ingredients in a bowl.
- Mix them well to form a thick paste consistency.
- Apply this scrub on your damp face.
- Massage your face for about 5 minutes.
- Then wash your face with cold water.
- Allow it to dry, and then apply some good moisturizer.
